My Japanese Ice Festival Collection was inspired by the winter celebrations in Japan, where massive ice sculptures are built and illuminated with multi-colored lights.

This design was inspired by Akkorokamui, a giant octopus-like creature described in Ainu folkslore. Shrines dedicated to it are found throughout Japan, and it is thought to represent healing and purification, as well as adaptability and creativity.
